Privacy notice

This notice explains how Belleisle Tailoring uses your personal information when you order from us or contact us.

Who we are

The data controller is BELLEISLE TAILORING LIMITED, registered in England and Wales, company number 15462955. Registered office: 40 Hotham Road North, Hull, HU5 4NL. Email: operations@belleisletailor.co.uk.

What we collect

  1. Your name, email address and, if you give it, your phone number.
  2. Your jacket choices.
  3. Your twelve body measurements, your height and your weight.
  4. Four photographs of you, which we ask you to send by email after you order.
  5. Anything you write to us by email.

We do not take payment on this website. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.

Why we use it

  1. To make your jacket and deal with your order. This is needed to carry out our contract with you. This is our lawful basis.
  2. To reply to your questions. We do this because you asked us to.
  3. To keep business and tax records. We do this to meet our legal obligations.

Where it is stored and who can see it

  1. Your order is stored in Google Cloud Firestore, in the London region.
  2. Emails about your order are sent and received through Google Workspace.
  3. Only Troy Thorpe can open the order records and the order emails.
  4. We do not sell your information.

Our tailor

We share your measurements and jacket choices with our tailor under an order reference only. We never share your name, contact details or photographs with them.

How long we keep it

  1. Invoices and the financial records that go with an order: until 5 years after the 31st January deadline for the tax year of the order.
  2. Your measurements, height and weight: 2 years after your jacket is delivered.
  3. Photographs you send us: 3 months after your jacket is delivered.
  4. Enquiries that do not lead to an order: 12 months.

After these periods we delete the information.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it where we no longer need it. You can object to how we use it. Email operations@belleisletailor.co.uk.

If you are unhappy with how we use your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We will update this page if we change how we use your information.
